Went for a stroll this afternoon to take a few pics of these magnificent characters out in the field on the other side of the valley... They've been lucky enough to have been out all winter as it's been mild. I think they are Longhorn cattle.

will be buried for a while yet. Not in the byre with them coos I hope David!!! ;D ;D I've got a nice Belted Galloway and a couple of Muckle coos down the road I'll have to try and photograph sometime soon too.

These are due to calve in the next couple of days. Mother to be, resting. Fed-up waiting. A Hereford and a Galloway both due to calve.

Lovely photos malcolm and I'd agree with Pat that the photo looking doon on Ollaberry and across to Sullom Voe is splendid.......pity da coo looks as if she's expired! ;D

Just spotted your picture of the Belted Galloway. Lovely little (big) heifer calf. Why no belt on mum or is she a Galloway rather than a Belted??? That's my cow of choice if I could have one. They fly at Rare Breed sales down here! ;D ;D Seems that the bull was a Belted Galloway.
