The picture is lovely, for some reason heather reminds me of winter.
You've used the rule of thirds well and the framing of the picture is spot on, your eyes are lead through the vista. A tip for the future would be to try a full 200 mm on the Dimage 7ug it will work wonders for you, stop me if this is too advanced for you. Good composition, exposure, sharpness, DoF, and just the right amount of PP - I'd be hard pressed to find any fault in this picture.
Now givus a fiver for all this useful stuff ;D

Here's some stuff I just photographed this afternoon: A fairy's house in our garden! Some gorse on the bridle path. AND LOADS OF DIAMOND CAUGHT IN A SPIDER'S WEB. What a find! I'm rich for ever now!

Nice pictures Lynne, like the spiders web the best, looks really good. Not sure what sort of mushroom that is but its big, have you only just noticed it, would have been nice to take various pictures of it growing.

Benji. nice pictures,, the one of the gorse reminds me of my teens. the yellow hammer used to nest under the gorse at renfrewshire.. but like bod I like the spider's web the best.. it does look like diamonds.. ;D

OK, my turn to put some pics up now! The weather down here has been gorgeous today and yesterday and all the bulbs are coming out in the garden. My biggest surprise though was spotting this honey bee with his pollen sacs full to bursting with crocus and snowdrop pollen. So early for honey bees though..hope he got back home safely. and a couple more to fill your heart with gladness...

It might be worth having a look at .. www.bobbytulloch.com/there are pics of flowers as well as birds/mammals. Some of the flowers have 'local names' (not in the index, but if you click on the pic they are given )
