Here's some photos that I took this afternoon in our back garden while the sun was out - the weeding was forgotten about while I had photos to take so there's no garden-wide shots I am afraid! ;D A flower on my buddleia bush - looks gorgeous when there's butterflies on it but none around today I'm afraid! I have forgotten what this is called - anyone help me out please? A little bit of my sedum - or I think that's it's name! A mountbretia flower - love these sprigs on their own! More mountbretia... My little garden gnome is fishing for something good in the lungwort I reckon! (see it's growing Fi...yippeee!) Livingstone daisies, always think they are such a tonic when they come out with the sun Some lovely weeds! And finally, my dahlia from last year which was left out in the pot all winter - can't believe how beautiful it's blooming just now That's them all for now, will do some proper weeding before another time - maybe! ;D

Lovely DL! I love the smell of buddleia! That yellow one, I think it may be lysmachia (loosestrife???). We had a lot in our garden when I was a child and it used to grow on derelict sites too. BTW, is your gnome related to Geroge's gnome - I think we should be told!!! ;D

A breath of fresh air, DL - very nice. Good to see your lungwort growing! Like the purple daisy-type flowers - wonder what they are? We've got some of the yellow lysmachia too or whatever Benji called it - we've divided it and it grows like mad! I'm not at all up on the daisy-type flowers, but we've seen some quite tall white ones flowering just now in various places, including Lerwick. Anyone ideas what they might be?

Thanks benjiesmum and Fi I like having a peerie garden but i'm afraid it tends to run riot for a while then I have a mad weeding and tidying up session until the next time ..and so on! If I plant it and then it just grows itself, that's my kind of gardening ;D Thanks for the name of my yellow plant BM, I think loosestrife suits it so that's what I will call it I think the tall white daisies might be Michaelmas daisies Fiona? - mine daied when I planted them once, think it was just too wet of a summer for them and they all went mouldy and then died so so I never tried them again. Another plant I had no luck with was lupins - I love them but they never grew for me here

Nice sunny pictures DL and what a lovely assortment of flowers you have. Don't know if you posted it deliberately but in the one with the Livingstone Daisies on had you noticed that there was a fly on each of the flowers, they obviously like them!!
