Here is the boat which hangs high outside the shop (DAKS) I work at. Its a Viking boat because of the historic links the Vikings had with York.

Oh george, I love that little blue scallop boat. If I had a boat it would be just like that one.
bod - your boat seems to have run aground somewhere - left high and dry!! Where are them pesky Vikings - not in the coffee shop are they???

Well it looks fairly calm there for a change, does the lifeboat see much action. I thought lifeboats were usually kept out of water and then pushed down a ramp into the sea when needed.

I spotted this object in the middle of the voe while I was walking back from otter loch..it looked like an upturned boat, I looked at it with my binoculars to see if anyone was in the water..I was about to phone the coastguard when the ports pilot boat came round the point..here is what they did.. they probed around it with their long poles wae the hook at the end. then attached a line. then towed it to the harbour.. this is the thing.. it looks like some kind o home made boat.. not sure..

You really have some very photgenic boats up there george and lochender. There a bit thin on the ground round this part of the world. It's all pesky ski-boats and great big powerboats on the whole unless you go to Conwy where you may see a few nice looking boats.

Although I'm no sailor, I appreciate the pictures by george, lochender and missyme The yacht sailing seems to be really popular noo lochender......I don't suppose the men at da far haaf ever contemplated that one day folk would be taking to the sea for pure pleasure.

A wonderful set of photographs there missyme! I love the masts on that great big one! Here's my little boat. I went out bright and early this morning to Llyn Brenig up on Denbigh Moor. Nobody was about!
