Good Morning folks, I have been up since 5 a.m. just prowling about the garden and enjoying all the lovely fresh green colours mixed with honesty, daffodils and some of the lime green grasses. It was very hard to come in last night and go to bed as everything is looking so good. On a morning like this it makes you glad to be alive. I couldn't agree more oldbat. The best time of the day is early in the morning when the dew is on the ground and the birds are singing. I pad round the garden at that time too!!! Hopefully no one spots me still in my pjs and slippers! ;D

On Monday morning i left Liverpool at 4am to drive back to Glasgow, and i couldnt believe how beautiful the scenery was at that time in the morning. It was quite spooky driving through the dewy mist that came from the fields around me. It made getting up early well worth it.

Here's one I took this morning, not sure of the name but I'm sure George Monty-Don will help us out. (And no George you can't smoke it and it's not a weed)

Your first plant Alchimilla Mollis is prized by florists and flower arrangers for the yellow sprays. The alpine variety does not have such a bright flower but its foiliage is more dainty. this othe plant could be silene but now sure.

You are correct "oldbat1949" it is Silene or another name is Rock Campion.
