There seems to be two different counters at work, the one on the Northmavine.com home page is showing (just now) 49997 since 28.08.06. The counter at the foot of the forum index page is showing 64,190 visitors since 5th March 2007. Curious or what ?

I'm not sure I've got this explanation exactly correct........perhaps Fi can put me right if I've got it wrong, but I think the website counter calculates the number of visitors to the website and the forum counter calculates the number of pages that folk have visited on the forum?......I may be wrong but I can't think of another explanation ;D

Yep, not curious at all! The forum is completely separate to the website - it's hosted completely separately, 2 different things! When we started the website, we put a hit counter on. <with date> It was a bit later that we added the hit counter to the forum, also with the date that that counter started counting. Hence the 2 different numbers. So, for the website - very well done everyone, over 50,000 hits! Well done to all involved with the forum too - that'll be heading for 65k before long!
