Well, as everyone was busy up in north roe, it gave me an incentive to get mine up to scratch, tore down the auld fence, built a new one, but kept it open, put in a wee log border, then filled it up with red chip's, pointed between the slab's, then shuttered up a wide step, then painted the slab's wae tile paint, I have still to do the area aboot the gate, maybe in a few day's till my back get's in better shape. then i'm off doon sooth fur a nice wee holiday, I go away next week.. yipppeeeeee.. Then I tried tae talk this knome ootside the pub if he would be my garden knome.. he telt me tae get lost afore he decked me.. ;D he's holding an invisible fishing wand in his hand's.. ;D ;D

Your garden is looking really neat - aren't you clever doing all that.
Anyway in the fourth picture where do those steps lead to and why is there a railing on it. The metal thing with the yellow washing line looks like the one in picture one, but I'm not really sure.
Ere worra smart at that man is wearing - do ya think ee caught owt, great shot!

Well done George all looking very super down your way, all my weeds awaiting your attention here though! ;D
Ps The steps are leading up to the houses beside George's house bod, they are actually outside his garden but the way the photo is taken makes them look inside - if that makes sense! ;D

A very neat garden george. Mine's full of weeds at the moment - in particular nettles. Once I break up I really will have to get down to some hard work. I've been pulling weeds up all week and they just sdon't seem to diminish. I have to pour boiling water on the ones on the patio because I can't use weed killer. My hands and arms are full of nettle stings where they have brushed against me too.
Where are you off to on holiday this time then???

I don't think there are many nettle's in shetland, at least in our village benji.. Well I was'nt sure what to do about the gate area at da hoose, then I decided I would do away with it, and the wee fence either side o it, what a difference it make's, then I added more log edging up the side o the path, then filled in wae red chip's.. just got the other side to do, then sort oot the other slab's in front o da kitchen window, then get them a coat o tile paint.... I'm going off for a week to a caravan with family, then I'm off to bramble's house for a week then I MIGHT BE BACK... ;D ;D

A wee update on da garden, I've done away wae da gate, opened up the entrance, layed down more log edging, filled wae red-chip's, stained the edging red-ceder, I think it look's a lot better withoot da gate, the sheep don't get into the village any more, so da flooer's should be safe enough... here it is...

It's looking really good George and how nice to be able to step out of your door and see the sea. The flowers have come on well and look very healthy.

What a transformation George. The front looks so cheery noo in comparison with how it wid have looked afore. Depressing greys have been replaced with bright an cheery reds. I've even spotted a few ideas we might pinch for North Roe.........once me lips are better
