Beautiful fresh eggs from the girls available from an honesty box outside our wall. Pink plastic box with a sign - you can't miss it! ;D I'm suggesting £1.40 a half doz but put in what you want. The money will go towards their feed and keep. Please return the egg boxes if you can. Thanks!

;D ;D Heheh, I could send you some, Aitch. Scrambled eggs? Thanks Benji. I saw the idea for the pink box and a handmade label on t'internet <where else? > and adapted the idea for my own label. Looking at the pic this morning, I realised I'm showing my address and phone no which normally isn't to be encouraged on a forum, but there again, it's already on t'internet on my own website! Or I could doctor the photo I suppose.

Just posted a video made yesterday on my Oily Muggie Facebook page of some grooovy chicks. The youngsters we got in November are now in lay so plenty of eggs available outside in the pink box! During the freezing weather we moved the hen house inside and you can see the 'handyman' fixing perches in the video. So they've now got an inside deep litter run as well as a cosy house (now with light) and outside access - 5 star accommodation!

I didn't post the advert next to the video - it must just come up now automatically as part of Proboards' advertising.

LOL...good about the ads because the ads on my computer came out for a local place here!! Couldn't imagine a local dentist advertising for clients in Shetland!
Really love the labels and the chickies!

Coincidence! Not sure if I ever posted this. Last summer we had a peerie moose family living in one of the nest boxes, babies 'n' all. We just left them to get on with it but couldn't resist taking a peek in now and then. They got quite used to us and 'the gardener' used to show them to the children who came to the shop, as well as letting them look for eggs. By the way - we have a dozen chookies at the moment so plenty eggs out in the box for anyone who wants some - pink box at the corner of our wall. Just help yourself, the box is out in the evening too, and just stick whatever you think in the money tin. The eggs are getting bigger again and we've had quite a few monster double-yolkers again! The girls have been getting lots of free range running about just now as the farmer's been kind enough to let them go through into his park just now. 12 girls means 12 names now on the box! Not telling you which names but they're all named in honour of local ladies..

Not much of a fry from those moose eggs, Fiona. Personally, we send Harley the cat to visit our hens every so often!
