Sound like fun Fiona. Very good idea. I came across a place once where they had the big tents that they have in Tibet - or somwhere similar. But they were very luxurious - with heating and lighting and everything!!!

The wigwams will be officially opened on Sunday 3rd August at 3.00pm. There's two in place so far and Christina and Magnus are ready to accept bookings The Northmavine tourism group will also launch "A visitor's quick guide to Northmavine" at the same time, so we look forward to seeing you all at the Braewick Cafe on Sunday afternoon

It was good to see the finished articles on Sunday and good to see there was quite a bit of interest in them, despite the attempts of the blasted midgies to spoil the occasion! Thankfully, the combination of Magnus wielding his bottle of Avon's Skin so Soft and a slight breeze which came up, meant the midgies were a temporary distraction. The wigwams looked great and what a location! What a view! <Also the unusual view of Fifi in a dress and Mr Fifi in a suit was sadly not down to the occasion of the wigwams but a christening! > Seemed to be a few people taking photos at the wigwams so hopefully some might appear.

The finished wigwams looked pretty good and I would certainly prefer them to a tent. Magnus plans a further two later on.

Nice pic, Heimdal. And you've managed to snap Mr & Mrs Fifi in afore-mentioned posh gear, you rascal you.

I was looking through the pics I had taken at Braewick and after reading your post decided that had to be the one to show I heard it suggested that they looked more like 'boatie houses' than wigwams and right enough, they do resemble upturned boats. Maybe that could be another tourist attraction ;D
