Conforming to the norm David? - I can't believe it I'm sure the old shapeshifter is still there - hidden deep in the metamorphosis?

nobody should ever stand still... once you do, you'll soon be gone.
Keep moving and changing until nature tells you to stop... it makes no odds when that is, it will happen, the biggest failure is to give up to its inevitability too soon and sit still.
If at the age of 20 i was 'static', 'grounded', 'unevolving'... that would be a very sad state of affairs, and that applies when/if i'm 30/40/50...
Nobody truly only has one persona, constraining yourself to such is unfortunate.
Too many people die before they need to... and yes... changing name is an exponent and demonstration of an "altering" character... one that doesn't wish to boundary himself and/or sit still... there are no confines.
But i'll try to stick to the one 'forum persona'... being that i have very loose 'duties'... societal needs...
A 'shapeshifter'? perhaps... not through design... just many shapes and a multiplying factor of sides... some might say, highly contradictory. I'd agree and have been described as such (involving an array of opposing parties/natures/characteristics that i care not delve into). Most importantly to note though... is that whilst shapeshifter-esque... my loyalties and sincerity are really very very clear... i just prefer not to let them be readily known or easily available... if you work them out... well very good... you would then be someone 'worth' (don't use that word literally) knowing... if you can't... well... you might well infer 'shapeshifter'... you either get it or you don't (and i'm very easy-oasy on either or), but if you do get it, its a damn site more honest of an appraisal than you'll get from some. ... i'd much rather know fewer people who got it, than a whole myriad who didn't, yet you still shaped your nature around that want/desire (of... "socialness"?).... and my definition and perception of "know" is determinable but i'm not going to elaborate on it... (but a stronger sense than that of the norm perhaps). If you feel put off balance... well... ho-hum
But i'll stick with generic name 'DavidJ'...

I agree, never stand still for too long in one place - and I can't imagine you stuck - ever. To sum up then - for the name on the forum it's transformation for everything else it's the old you - good ;D

There might well be a trait of "keeping folk on their toes"... be it others or most importantly yourself. Inherited or nurtured... i don't know (bit of both...?).

There might well be a trait of "keeping folk on their toes"... be it others or most importantly yourself. Inherited or nurtured... i don't know (bit of both...?). On my toes - blimey charlie!!! You've had me running around in circles trying to keep up with you. Now you see him now you don't. Spare a thought for us older 'uns who are a bit slow on the uptake sometimes. Although you have a certain style of writing which is easy to spot even when you take on a different nom de plume!!! So, I say (or rather Shakespeare said - in R&J): "What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other word would smell as sweet.................."I think I'll change my name soon........................................ ;D ;D I'll keep you all on your toes, just see if I don't. Ah well, maybe not, I have enough trouble remembering benjiesmum!!

that is half my point... a name means little... yet aft taken to mean a lot... like any outword expression. Often they mean nothing but easy to fall to its apparntness... the more contradictory the apparentness the more 'shapeshiftory' and the more shapeshiftory, the greater scope for contradiction and when that all comes naturally and without intention... well... i don't know where that leaves you. A walking contradiction... but one thats basis is very simple, clear and understood personally, yet apparently 'confusing' from the outside and hard to pin down... like being a bit aloof yet at times totally not at all? who knows... is all this just being said in a shapeshifter manner anyway...?
but for whats on purposes the name sticks.
