Thank you both. Doesn't nature provide great subjects?! Isn't the range of colours and forms of flowers amazing? Same with the forum's favourites - birds. Such beauty and diversity.

Today I went to the garden centre to pick my hanging baskets up - had them on order for about 6 weeks now. They looked really nice and we put them in the boot. We drove home, its only about 9 miles away - my husband opened the boot, I was devastated, they must have been rolling from side to side and all the plants from the top had fallen out, all over the boot, soil everywhere. What a mess - I've tried to put the plants back as best as possible. The plants obviously hadn't established themselves, if they had had roots on they would have kept in the soil. Do you think its worth complaining or do you think they will just say "you should have wedged them in"

Oh dear bod! We had the same problem and ours were those new cone shaped hanging baskets! They rolled a bit but in the end I put them on the back seat of the car to stop them rolling around to much. I do hope yours survive - it is so disappointing when these things happen. Don't think you can blame the garden centre - altthough they should have perhaps given you some plastic pots to help balance them a bit. Or blame hubbie's driving.

Thought I would take a little stroll around the garden today - after seeing Fiona's lovely pics! Here are some Lizzies being busy! Then the back garden - the summer house is open. There's not much in the back garden except the flower baskets on the wall. I mowed the lawn in the orchard on Friday to save doing it over the weekend. It's a very quiet and peaceful place. Nice and shady. On the shed wall the blue tits have their nest. I think that they are about to fledge because one of them is out today!

Really nice phtos BM, everything looks so healthy and the grass looks so green - whats the secret. Wish I had a summer house to escape to. Here is a rhododendron, not in my garden unfortunately.

You must have put a lot of hard work and thought into your garden Benjiesmum, it is both practical and picturesque, 10 out of 10 for you on that one, well done.
