Benjiesmum is proud to announce the arrival of the last lambie....another ewe lamb...someone up there really does love me this year!!!
2.20 this afternoon and was up and cleaned up when I got home from work. mg had watched the whole proceeding on the tele - he said it was better than "Neighbours"! (sad).
No more lambies. Complete set!!!

better than Neighbours... is he absolutely 100% certain about that... as in really sure... completely positive in its entirety that it was BETTER than Neighbours. Might be possible to be equally as good, but better... *struggles to fathom such a notion*

Glad to see the last edition to your fleet has arrived safely.......another peerie cutie I don't know if you remember bm, but back in a post last year I put up a photo of one of our texel rams......the one with housemaids knee! Well his condition went from bad to worse, resulting in him only managing to service two ewes this year. He died of what dad suspects was pneumonia a month or two ago. He was a real croft pet and everyone was very sad to loose him.......BUT a week ago one of the pure breds he serviced gave birth to a peerie ram lamb, so now we have son of "da big fellow". He's a bit camera shy and his mother did her best to shield him from photographers, but he's a quick snap I took tonight.

I love your wooly Dartmoors benjiesmum - that's the kind of coat I could do with to keep out the windchill here! And I can't believe how green your grass is there - mine in the garden is still in it's brownish winter attire! And that's a sad story mhay but the peerie ram lamb is right happy ending though isn't it?

If you think that's green grass you should see the lush pastures around the Chester area - the cattle and sheep are fair wallowing in grass!!! It's enough to make a girl green with envy of these lowland farmers. I've got four bales of hay left and I'm praying my grass will start to grow soon!

I know, I know!!!! I've been across the mountain today and mine looks like verdant green pastures. But I'm now down to three bales of hay and it's been sooooo expensive to buy this year.

Well, here he is. Little Arthur in all his glory!! Sheared off yesterday by my friend's hubby. Did him on a winter comb to leave a bit of wool on him. He did the two tups for me and Lambie - my shearling ewe.
