I went out to pick some rhubarb for our tea and was shocked to see our rhubarb patch is twice the size opf last years and there is a four foot flower stalk (Talk about the day of the triffids). Got me wondering how everyone else's rhubarb was doing.

I only have a small clump of badly neglected rhubarb, so I assumed it was stress that had made it flower so early. I lopped off the flower spike in the hope the rhubarb will be edible. what do you think?

I've just looked out of the window, wondering if I was going to see a 4' triffid.. Think ours is much as normal. Rhubarb seems to survive just about anything. I wonder if it's dry conditions that's making it go to seed?
