Wow Bramble growing them from seed is very hard. So I take my hat off you for getting them to grow so well.

My tomato plants are flowering nicely now, so hopefully get some fruit soon. Also my cherry tree has now started to produce lots of fruit, last year i only had 3 cherries on it, this year i think it has over 100, must be the miracle grow plant food. Im thinking about planting some baskets with strawberries, has anyone else done that ?

I've grown a couple of hanging baskets with strawberries this year in my porch, and they're nice and ripe now. I'm going to plant up half a dozen for next year. I think you can get trailing ones, although these are just plants I dug up in the autumn and overwintered. Definitely worth it. On the subject of tomatoes, anybody heard of folk being allergic to tomato plants? I've grown them for years without problems, but this season they seem to bring me out in a rash A bit of a bugger since I have about a dozen in flower. Any advice?

Never heard of that mrgluss! Although I do notice when I handle my plants they have tiny hairs which sometimes sting me.

I planted a couple of strawberry plants in a basket a couple of weeks ago, and they are coming on a treat. Lots of fruit growing on them now and turning a nice colour of red. I was going to take a photo to show you, but its pouring with rain tonight, will do it when it stops. My tomato plants have a few small toms now too, hopefully make a nice wee salad with them in a few weeks time. ;D

It's that time of year again - the surplus tomato plants point. This year I have cherry toms (Gartenperle) suitable for hanging baskets (or I guess tall pots which they can cascade out of). I've also got some ordinary cherry toms which I've just potted up. If anybody nearby wants some, let me know.
