What were you up to today.. Well I slept in, I got up at 0630 ;D then made a coffee, bluey & whitie were doing my head in, so I told them to keep the noise down a bit, they both told me to shut up, so we had a bit o a shouting match, they won, as usual.. they alway's do.. ;D. then I checked all the forums which I lurk in ;D.... later I went and watched one of the otters, got it on video too, all of 5 sec's as I had to close my car window. the rain was pouring in, came home and prepared and made my dinner, then thought, I wonder what other folk were doing from day to day, so I thought it might be interesting to open a new thread on here to find out, i'm really a bit like BOD I'm a bit nosy, oop's bod, only kidding, well I realize that a lot of you are a bit shy at posting your thought's, but I think I will use this thread a lot, even if no one uses it, it will give an insight of how I cope with life..

Worra good thread George, spying on people and gerrin to nur wot the are up to - not that I'm the least bit interested you understand cos am just not nosy.
Anyway some of us have to work on a saturday so I got up at 6.30, washed my hair and made my Porridge (I make it with one cup of oats and 2 of milk, microwaved for 4 mins in a big bowl cos I'm greedy) Did some washing, made my sandwich and got to work at 8.45.
Did the paperwork, stock sheets, sales sheets, daily reports, trade report, takings sheets and e-mail takings sheets yawn yawn - too much paperwork. Went to lock up to list the delivery we got yesterday. Made some phone calls to customers to tell them we had some Blazers in. Tidied shop floor which is ongoing during the day, was bossy wi staff and kept tellin them off cos I am mean, told a customer to get out of me shop cos he were gerrin on me nerves, stopped a shoplifter by running after him and wrestling him to the ground, held him there while I waited for security to come. Served the Queen cos we have a Royal warrant and she woz buying a pressie for Phil. Cashed up at 6 and did some paperwork whilst waiting for my son to finish at 6.30. Came home did some washing, cleaned the bathrooms, had a bath and just finished watching the X Factor - my favourite programme.
Off to bed now cos am in work tomorrow.
Thats my day, I made some of it up to make it sound more interesting!!!!!!!!!
George the nice thing about being retired is that you get to relax and do what you want - how nice.

made my Porridge (I make it with one cup of oats and 2 of milk, microwaved for 4 mins in a big bowl cos I'm greedy) We must be realted - that's exactly what I do in the mornings too!! LOL! Only my recipe is one MUG of oats, one MUG of milk and 3.5 minutes in the microwave. Have it every day without fail - Tesco organic oats (big oats). And......a quarter of a teaspoon of syrup!

Pierre is a handsome peerie fellow! Sounds like you've had a busy day geordie boy catchin up on all your admin! I spent the afternoon at a meeting of the Shetland Heritage Association in Eid. They've just launched a website today and wated me to go along and talk aboot the Northmavine website, so I was more than happy to oblige and tell them aboot some o the lovely folk I've met through the website and the forum over the past three years and how the site has helped spread the word aboot Northmavine to folk ootside the area. It's also helped to pass on info to folk who live here.......skip rotas, minutes etc. I know the forum is going through a quiet spell, but there's still lots o folk lookin in and there's folk who see things on the forum and e-mail us about subjects. Sometimes they're too shy to join in or would just rather send an e-mail than post in public on da forum. All in all, the site is still doin a good job me thinks I also collected the bread for the Hillswick shop today and spent part of the late afternoon helpin oot there. Yesterday we had a visit at the shop fae a couple of folk up for a few nights break. They were delighted that they could get a few errants at the shop and pop along to Oily Muggie for a great selection of crafty goods. Fi is open at the weekends from 12 - 5 till Christmas!

That is a really super piccie George! We had a busy day yesterday. Went to dog training at 11 o'clock and for once Buddie was good! Then I headed off to the mountains to have a good walk because it was quite sunny for a while! We climbed so high we could see over to the great Orme and Llandudno! and far below was the A55. Buddie had a great time! Here is his latest adventure from yesterday. www.homealabrador.net/bb/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=7198Then at night I went out with my two friends to see the Wee Bag Band at the Raven Inn. The inn was taken over by the locals and is the subject of a programme to be shown on BBC 1 on Tuesday evening. they seem to be doing a good job attracting people there. The food was excellent - real chips and a lovely steak and kidney pie.
