Oh what a lovely photo that is. ;D A box full of kittens. Love the middle one - love them all but the one in the middle looks a right cheeky one!

Brilliant word that, Fiona!!! Yes, although it was Lochender who used it. I've heard it used a lot here but had no idea how to spell it..

Oh dear, mg and I haven't had a good week this week. I'm so sad to report that our dear little KP went to the vets because his gums had a terrible disease. The vet had tried to sort them out quite a few times now but they were getting worse. Because of his very bad start in life he had never been a strong kitten. He sadly died when he was having an operation to have some of his teeth out - as a last resort. The vet had warned us it was very serious. He had been a good little cat - and was a big friend of the dog, they sat together all the time and ran in the fields together and played. Anyway, we had been on the look-out for another kitten and found that the RSPCA had got litters of them. So earlier this week I went up to their rescue centre at Colwyn Bay and found one that was just right for us. We had to have a home visit - to check we were OK and tonight we have a new kitten. Here he is! Dog's gone all daft and has been crying all afternoon! But I am sure that they will get on fine eventually. We are still missing KP and will for a long time but as the RSPCA visitor said: The best memorial you can give to your cat is four new paws in the house.

So vexed to hear about KP. Animals become such a part of the family don't they and it's hard when we loose them.
Your new peerie ginger lad looks as if he's made himself at home already and it's great to be able to give a loving home to unwanted animals. Hopefully him and the dog will become firm friends soon! Have you chosen a name for him yet?

Very sorry to hear about KP. The birthday pic of KP and Benji was a brilliant one. Your new kitten looks lovely - I'm sure he'll fit in to his new home very well.

Thanks you both. I am still quite sad. He used to run down the field when I got home from work and always responded to his name wherever he was. He was a very gentle little cat who spent most of his time either in the summerhouse or on the bed if he wasn't out exploring. But there is nothing focuses the mind like a bundle of ginger fluff who is intent on destroying your best cushions. He's a real terror!
We haven't got a name for him yet. We decided against Ginger, Marmaduke etc. Thought of Sylvester - but that's a mouthful...Humphrey....Tom.....but as yet nothing seems right. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Because of his pixie (not used because it's too fem.) ears what about Elfis ?
Just had a thought....in Welsh a F is pronounced as a V. So he could be Elvis's re-incarnation !!!

Here's our new kettlin at ten weeks old. He is quickly turning into a little monster! He seems to have taken to my bag. We finally called him Tom-Kitten which I suppose will become Tom-Cat in time!

I thought he'd have been Tom Ketleen at the moment. PS i don't know exactly how to spell the shetland name for a kitten so I've spelt it phonectically.
