Hurrah some decent wadder forecasts ageen hopefully! The "Redders" at Mavis Grind endured one peerie shower of rain which passed quickly by. There wasn't much "brukk" (rubbish) at Mavis Grind this year compared to last year and although there were comparatively few volunteers as weel, we had it cleared in no time! ;D Most of the debris blows in on the Atlantic Ocean - perhaps the wind changed direction and some of it blew back oot again prior to wir redd up! ;D We didn't tackle the beach as we're not sure yet if the Brae Youth Club are going to take on the task again this year. Here's a picture of what we gathered in under an hour:

Not content with reddin up Mavis Grind, I moved on to sullom today. I was joined by two young and willing helpers and we had a great day. We gaddered 9 bags of rubbish from the sides of the road and went down to the Bight of Haggrister for a look. The beach was pretty clean, so we picked up what we could and did a spot of beachcombing. We came across a skull which I wondered if someone could help us identify? It's about 12 - 14 inches long and seems to have had a long nose. The lasses and I have all sort of fantastic ideas of what it could be and we'll be very disappointed if it's an owld coo or something!! ;D

It would be fine to get an ID on your whale. Hope they can help. Perhaps there's someone here locally that you could take it to for an ID?
Sorry to hear that you don't think wir skull is that of a sullomasaurous. Could it no even be a neesik or SOMETHING a bit more excitin than an owld Shetland Pony!! ;D ;D

Well maree, after a lot of research, I think I can let you know that what you and the girl's found is of great national importance..
what you found was no less than the only crainiumgalericulum in existence. previously thought to be of legend's & myth's.. these beastie's are commonly called.. TROWIE'S..
