"Little" Arthur is growing up fast bm . I think Tuppy could do with a leg wax though ;D. Hope the curls appear before the 9th......otherwise you could always invest in a home perm kit ;D

"Little" Arthur is growing up fast bm . I think Tuppy could do with a leg wax though ;D. Hope the curls appear before the 9th......otherwise you could always invest in a home perm kit ;D Tuppy had extraordinarily long wool on his legs when I bought him. It is a new "fashion" within the showing world of Dartmoors. Historically, leg wool was always left on to make the legs appear bigger but the general dirt etc was just hosed off and left. However, over the past few years some of the more successful and well-known breeders have begun to not only wash the leg wool but also to tease it out so that, with a lot of patience, the effect becomes that of a "groomed" leg hanging in long wavy locks of wool. Clearly Tuppy had been wading through the mud this winter and although his legs are now clean the wool isn't quite right yet! I've got a bit more to do to him yet but the old back doesn't co-operate like it used to. When his body wool grows a bit more he will look a bit better, I think. Now, about that home perm kit - any recommendations! ;D ;D ;D...and I'll need someone to hold him while I apply the lotion! Offers on a postcard please...

Finally!!! Here's Little Arthur - his legs were teased out, washed, sprayed with a hose-pipe, combed with a curry comb and then left to dry. I think that I will now retire to a darkened room!
