Check Benjies bed Malcolm, I have turned the house upside down with no success. How can a HUGE double quilt disappear off the face of the Earth?

Perhaps Little Tomas Kettlin has taken it as his very own cuddly quilt! I've asked him but he just put his tail in the air and walked off!!

BM has already seen these and suggested I put them on here to show you. To make them, go to the supermarket, buy ingredients, chop them up and make some pictures!! Grapes, chives and baby sweetcorn Baby carrots, chives, runner beans, dried veg and a blueberry eye. Hope you like them

What a fantastic idea bod!! Great pictures......they look good enought to eat ;D
You've just given me a great idea though......is it ok if I borrow it? We 're currently in the middle of a healthy meals project with some local young folk and they've done various drawings and cartoons on the theme of healthy food. What a splendid idea to make pictures from healthy food.

Glad the idea has given you "food for thought". Its good fun to do and they do make colourful pictures. The goldfish went into our beef casserole. Can't beat edible pictures!!

That is really something different bod and I'm sure maree's group and maybe school children/playgroups would love to copy your ideas too - super thinking there bod girlie! I'm also thinking that your pictures would make a lovely cover for a little healthy recipe book too - how about us doing one for Northmavine.com here with recipes contributed by all the members on here? I would even offer to make up twatree booklets if you all supplied the recipes - we could maybe even have them on sale at the Sullom Spring Bulb Show - hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes with that suggestion! What do you think folks?

This idea is a bit like the SWRI competition using seeds and pulses. You have just given me a brilliant idea for a new section for the local agricultural show. We have veg characters so now we could have a veg and fruit picture.

What do you think folks? What a great idea, dl! And well done bodlet! I'm not sure whether this is something the young eens were already considering for their project, but Maree would no doubt know. If the youngeens were already doing a healthy eating booklet, then we could perhaps do a general Northmavine.com recipe booklet or whatever. I'm looking into ways the website can raise income to avoid having to rely on grants, and this might be a good 'un! Well done dl and good of you to offer your services.

The recipe book sounds like a great idea, I'm sure most people would be happy to send recipes in for it.
Glad I've given you an idea oldbat, well actually you have given me one with seeds and pulses!!

Those "pictures" are great! I would serve them to guests. Are they a lot of work to prepare? Well, the flowers probably aren't too difficult! :-)

It's so kind of you to offer to make up a booklet and I personally would love to take you up on the offer. Perhaps the bairns could contribute some recipes as weel?

Wow another super veggie pic bod - they are all really super but I think this last one or the fishy one is maybe my favourite - for now anyway! Hi maree wonder if it would be an idea to make a peerie booklet just for the young ones healthy eating day? - could use the recipes for what they are making and their pictures/cartoons and any other info you can suggestion for eg healthy eating tips etc I can't make booklets with too many pages in them because you reach the point where the paper needs to be trimmed so that it doesn't come out over the cover edges but I've never tried making punched and wire binded booklets so that might be something new for me to think about too - always good to keep the auld brain active! Maybe we should start a new thread for recipes and recipe booklet stuff?
