Need to get the ball rolling with the old forum...
Wasn't at the Bannock either, a pesky trip to Edinburgh was required last weekend, so that put the end to that.
Website looking very impressive by the way...

I went, but unfortunately we only turned up in the evening and missed all the tomfoolery, shenanigans and scandal that took place in the daytime. However, a fun time was still had by all. the forum is looking splendid, reminds of the good old days of mini's cyanide forum. is the shoot the messenger one still up? Well the old one decided enough was enough and committed forum suicide, but we made a new one for the Glasgow STM - however it's starting to get filled up with nonsensical nonsense...just like the old one, I guess

Re this year's Big Bannock DVD - I am disgusted. Nay, outraged. I watched our copy last night. I am outraged that it made me cry with laughter, tears veritably running down my cheeks at some points. One of the bits that really got me was when the 'crofted' car, about to be driven away by its proud owner, spluttered and stopped. But after a few attempts, he ackshully got it going!! The giggling on the sound track from those around the camera was priceless. And the words of 'Magnie Fae Northmavine'... ;D the forum is looking splendid Thanks Nicky. We've got a few volunteers to help with the forum now so lookin' good!

i managed to make it and witnessed some of the shenanigans, only to be drenched with the rain nearing the end of the lawnmower races, so decided to call it a day then. we had fun though Shame about the rain. Hope it didn't spoil things too much. <ps - don't worry about not being a Northmavinite - all welcome here >

Very good video "salmon" well worth the wait for it to load, a mini tour of Shetland included. At the risk of being shouted down by all the people who will know immediately where the photo was taken included in your post, just exactly where is taken?

If I've understood your query, the photo is of the Northlink ferry leaving Lerwick Harbour, with the Kirkabister (Bressay) lighthouse in the background. Probably taken from the Knab headland in Lerwick.

Does anyone know if the Big Bannock DVD is still available? Someone at SVT <Sullom Voe Oil Terminal> was asking.
