Beautiful photos george. As usual! I thought there would be more snow. We have more in New England, it seems. Also, do the roads get plowed? Or is that up to the individuals? or towns? sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I am curious about the conditions during the winter. I also thought it would be dark there this time of year. Thanks

Hi. HD. in my opinion, shetland has the best roads in the uk.. and the shetland council provide an excellent gritting plowing service.. i suppose we did'nt get too much snow compared with the uk mainland, today was such a nice day, and the days are now starting to get longer..

I'm in full agreement with you aitch! I tink Geordie boy should have asked santa for a 4 wheel drive vehicle to keep him safe during his snow-bound photography excursion!!

They said he was tasty.

Hi Malcom that pheasant looks a lot like the one that has been beside us for about 18 months he was quite tame and would come to me when I called him The reason I think it is the one that was beside us is the colour of his wings he seemed to have lost some of his reddish coloured feathers more from one side than the other.Pleased to see he is still about We called him Fred
